It’s not a surprise that social media content is one of the best indicators to see what is trending at any given moment, such as which cryptocurrency is the public’s favorite.
Twitter is the obvious number one choice, and perhaps Youtube after that, but a lot of people forget that Reddit communities go much deeper than both of those.
By looking at the active members of cryptocurrency Reddit communities we can see which coins users actually believe in most of all, as opposed to what’s just trending for the day.
Let’s take a look below.
1. Bitcoin – 3,628,100 members
Again, no surprise here. The very first cryptocurrency has the largest following, and probably always will.
Current Bitcoin price: $57,058
2. Dogecoin – 2,231,101 members
You may have thought that fellow crypto giant Ethereum would have the 2nd largest community, but it is in fact the original memecoin Dogecoin with over 2 million members.
Current Dogecoin price: $0.21
3. Ethereum – 1,171,781 members
The 2nd largest cryptocurrency in the world in terms of market cap comes in 3rd with over 1 million active members.
Current Ethereum price: $4,625
4. Cardano – 667,864 members
Cardano has quietly grown to become the 6th largest cryptocurrency in the world in terms of market cap and still only 74% of it’s total supply is currently circulating.
Current Cardano price: $1.65
5. Safemoon – 297,891 members
What was once thought of as a memecoin, Safemoon developers as well as holders have proven themselves to be in it for the long run.
Safemoon has already released it’s own app/exchange, partnered with The country of Gambia, have been listed on major exchanges, and have celebrity support.
Current Safemoon price: $0.00000237
6. Shiba Inu – 131,224 members
The self-proclaimed “doge killer” has made a lot of noise this year with an astronomical jump in value and even temporarily took over Dogecoin in terms of market cap.
Developers of Shiba Inu have created NFT’s, Shiba Swap exchange, and even have a video game in the works.
Current Shiba Inu price: $0.00000237
