As perhaps one of the most, if not the most active spokesman for the future of NFTs and their place in society Gary Vaynerchuk puts his money where his mouth is and indeed does own a large amount of NFTs.
With his large following however, many scammers have begun running fake advertisements on social media with his face in attempt to “shill” (promote) their own projects.
Gary V is notorious for stating that he does not believe NFTs should be a quick money grab opportunity, but rather a project you believe in for the long term, because he believes the entire NFT market will likely crash in the near future.
With that being said, it is always a good idea to keep an eye on what actions Gary himself is taking in the NFT world, because he often can spot a good project before the majority.
Below are some of Gary’s recent NFT purchases as well as some of his most expensive.
If you are familiar with NFTs than CryptoPunks should need no introduction. CryptoPunks was one of the very first NFT projects ever, and also the best selling.
Gary V currently owns 5 CryptoPunks for a total investment of $239,265. This is an average of $47,583 per CryptoPunk.
Bored Ape Yacht Club
The most popular and viral NFT project of 2021 has landed one of their Apes into Gary’s wallet, albeit just one.
Gary V currently owns 1 Bored Ape for a total investment of $5,548.
This turned out to be a phenomenal investment as he purchased this Bored Ape 8 months ago and now the Bored Ape Yacht Club floor price is 93.69 ETH ($262,332).
Although this project hasn’t quite yet reached the success of the 2 previous projects, this is the one that Gary currently has his eye on the most.
In the past month Gary has bought 25 Crypto Skulls for a total investment of $84,496. This is an average of $3,379 per Skull.
